Plan the day

Equipment Moves

Machine, truck, float, driver and the time it must be ready at the next job. An equipment move needs more than a machine and an address. STRACTA plans each move with the machine, the truck, the trailer, the driver and the time the machine must be available at the destination. Each move keeps a movement status and records the custody change.

Move MV-0616-01 takes paver PV-02 from Talbridge Logistics Centre to Bellwether Pointe on float FL-01 behind tractor TR-02 with driver Dev R., available at the destination at 6:30 AM Wednesday.

Problems solved

Where the day breaks down.

  1. The float arrives before the machine is ready

The driver pulls in while the paver is still working. Somebody waits, on the clock.

  2. The machine arrives after the crew

The crew starts at 7:00 AM and the paver gets there an hour later. The whole crew stands around.

  3. Nobody's sure who has the machine

After the move, the last job still thinks it has the paver, and the new job isn't sure it's coming.

What it does

What Equipment Moves does.

In plain terms. Your version of STRACTA is shaped around how your team works, so bring your own workflow to the demo.

  • Plan the whole move

Pick the machine, the truck, the trailer and the driver, with the pickup and drop-off for the move.

  • Destination availability time

Set when the machine must be available at the destination, so the move is planned around the next crew start.

  • Tell STRACTA what you need

Say it out loud or type it in a sentence. STRACTA creates the equipment move for you, filled in and ready to review.

    Operations manager says

“Move PV-02 to Bellwether Pointe tonight with Dev on the float, ready for 6:30.”

    STRACTA creates

    Move scheduled

    How telling STRACTA works
  • Movement status

Each move carries a movement status, so the office can check on a move without making a call.

  • Custody changes

Record custody changes, so it's clear which job is responsible for the machine once it moves.
